Manning Pond

Manning Pond is a small karst pond and associated wetland in a flat-lying limestone. The open water of the pond is rich with Lemnaceae. Much of the rest of the site is a shrub swamp with extensive development of Sphagnum underneath. In areas the shrubs are absent and the herbaceous layer is dominated by the Sphagnum.
