Middle Road Swamp

Middle Road Swamp is one of the largest wetlands in the watershed. It is formed in a depression in the limestone underlying the areas adjacent to Lake Champlain. There is open water at the center, surrounded by a very wet and deep cattail marsh, which is surrounded by a moderately open canopy hardwood swamp.
