Peter Paine Slang

Peter Paine Slang is an old river channel and adjacent floodplain near the mouth of the Boquet. The open water portion is not shaded by the tree canopy and consists of either open water with an organic bottom or a buttonbush shrub swamp. The floodplain has a dense closed canopy and the shrub and herb layers are almost non-existent.
