Rhododendron Pond

Rhododendron Pond is an open pond, formed in what appears to be a glacial moraine. The open water has floating-leafed vegetation and it is surrounded by a narrow band of leatherleaf and other shrubs. In a few shallow protected areas there are dense associations of sedges.
