PLATTSBURGH'S COMMUNITY OF WRITERS   

   EVERYONE HAS A story.  But it takes community to foster lasting literature: We're Plattsburgh's poets, fictionists, essayists, playwrights, translators, critics, philosophers and memoirists, all of whom support writing and writers.  Through  conferences, workshops, curriculum and readings, writers continue a tradition:  Plato had Socrates, Melville had Hawthorne, and Joyce Carol Oates has Atwood-- the best writing minds rarely develop in a vacuum.   Browse the links to the left to find the groups that make up the larger body of our community, along with links that will put you in contact with them; utilize this space to share the craft of language with the whole of Plattsburgh's Community of Writers.
